Other than these three jobs, I think our future will be streamlined through automated programs, machines, robots and drones.

デザイン経営時代のブランディング How The New Era Will Change Art

Now that we have looked at the three jobs that will be left for people in the near future, let’s return to today’s theme ? “is art needed?” ? and finally get to the third point that is my conclusion. I think we can say that art is needed for the future of humanity.

デザイン経営時代のブランディング How The New Era Will Change Art

Ever since my days as a student, even after I entered the workforce, people have always asked me just what art is useful for in society. Well, if just eating were good enough, then we could have kept living like First Human Giatrus. But art is a 7 trillion yen industry.
In corporate management, as well, if we want to move beyond the mass production and consumption that were mainstream in the 20th century and into a 21st century system where business can be established even if there is only a single consumer, artistic business and an artistic mindset are vital. Art will become even more important as jobs continue to be lost to AI. The importance of design, as well, will not change.

No matter how much the world changes, the enjoyment of going out and traveling is something that will never go away. These things are something no one can program, so an artistic sense will be even more sought after. Looking at the working world, you will never develop an artistic sense simply by performing duties passed down by your superiors and the company, like this month’s sales or a three-year plan.
So, the act of play involves incredible creative talent. Even just going out drinking with friends, you have to think of where you want to go, who you want to go with, and where to go next. Trips can be taken unplanned, but since you have no idea what goes on at your destination, the entire journey is art. I think it’s good to go through life doing only things you love in that same way. If you find something you like, cherish it and pursue it. If you tire of it, change it. I think we are reaching the end of the age where we pay our dues and wait for it to pay off. If we create an environment where the people of the future can express their instinctual freedom, then art and society will move on to the next stage.
This concludes my speech. Thank you all very much for listening.
